Cooperation Protocol to Integrate Health Insurance with Social Protection

Cairo: The Ministry of Social Solidarity has signed a cooperation protocol with the Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA), e-Finance for Financial Facilities Management, and eHealth for Healthcare Technology and Management Services to integrate comprehensive health insurance systems with social protection networks.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement was signed on the sidelines of the UHIA’s annual forum on Sunday. It aims to enhance service delivery by connecting healthcare and social safety net programmes. This initiative is part of Egypt’s broader efforts to improve public services and ensure efficient government performance.

The protocol also seeks to strengthen crisis management as part of the country’s Vision 2030 sustainable development strategy. By aligning with this strategy, the initiative supports Egypt’s long-term goals for sustainable development and enhanced public service delivery.
