Construction Cost Index down in June – PCBS

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the West Bank decreased in June compared to May, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

CCI for residential buildings decreased by 0.42% due to a decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.84%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.37%, while, the prices of labor costs and wages increased by 0.54%.

CCI for non-residential buildings also decreased by 0.42% due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.81%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.37%, while the prices of the labor costs and wages increased by 0.54%.

CCI for skeleton buildings decreased by 1.02% due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 1.60%, and the prices of rental of equipment by 0.37%, while, the prices of labor costs and wages increased by 0.24%.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank slightly decrease by 0.09% during June compared with May due to the decrease in the price of raw materials by 0.34%, and the prices of operating costs of equipment by 0.15%, while, the prices of labor costs and wages increased by 0.99%, and the prices of rental of equipment slightly increased by 0.02%.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank decreased by 0.16% during June compared with May, the Water Reservoirs Cost Index decreased by 1.30%, while the Water Networks Cost Index increased by 0.31%.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index also decreased by 0.15% for the same period, said the PCBS.
