Confrontations broke out between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian residents of the town of Qabatiya to the southeast of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, following a military incursion that took place during the early morning hours, said local sources. Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town of Qabatiya and the village of Missilya, southeast of Jenin, and provocatively deployed military vehicles in its streets, spurring clashes with residents in Qabatiya. Forces further intensified their military presence in the vicinity of the town of Y’abad and the village of Kfiret to the west of Jenin and set ambushes between the olive fields. No injuries or arrests were reported. The Israeli information center for human rights in occupied territories, B’Tselem, stressed that Israel’s control is a regular fixture in the lives of all Palestinians in the occupied territories, who are subjected to a daily routine of overt or implicit state violence by Israel. Israel’s control over the Palestinians, as well as instances that do not involve the direct use of physical force, are both forms of organized, ongoing state violence by Israel, said the center.
