Colonists uproot olive trees in Salfit area

Israeli colonists today uprooted 10 olive trees and prevented Palestinian harvesters from going to their lands north and west of the town of Kafr al-Dik, west of the northern West Bank city of Salfit, according to the mayor of Kafr al-Dik, Mohammad Naji.

He told WAFA that the colonists destroyed and cut down trees belonging to his family, attacked the olive pickers, and forced them to leave their lands.

He said the area of the lands in question is estimated at more than 1,500 dunums.
