Colonists set fire to hundreds of dunums of agricultural land east of Ramallah

RAMALLAH: Extremist Israeli colonists today set fire to vast areas of agricultural land and a vehicle scrapyard in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, said a local official.

The head of the Burqa village council, Sayel Kanaan, told WAFA that a group of colonists, from the illegal Oz Etzion colonial outpost, set ablaze around 500 dunums of land in the northern and western parts of Burqa village. The fire that swept through the land destroyed dozens of ancient olive trees.

The village of Burqa is subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli colonists, including attacks against residents’ homes, properties and agricultural land.
