JORDAN VALLEY: Israeli colonists Sunday fenced off a dirt road and set fire to mountainous lands in the northern Jordan Valley.
The official in charge of the settlement file in Tubas Governorate, Mutaz Basharat, said that a number of colonists began fencing off the dirt road that leads to the homes of local residents in Nab’ Ghazal in the northern Jordan Valley.
He added that fencing off this road comes within the policy of continuous pressure on citizens to force them to leave their homes, as happened recently in Khirbet Umm al-Jimal.
Meanwhile, colonists set fire to mountainous lands in Khirbet Yarza, east of Tubas.
The citizens expressed their fear that the fire would reach their homes.
14 Palestinian families were forced to leave their homes in the past few days in Umm al-Jimal in the northern Jordan Valley due to the attacks of the occupation forces and colonists.
