Colonial settlers attack villages in Masafer Yatta

Colonial Israeli settlers, accompanied by an Israeli military escort, launched a terrorist attack this evening on several Palestinian villages in the Masafer Yatta region, located in the southern West Bank province of Hebron, according to local sources.

Rateb Jubour, a local Palestinian rights activist, told WAFA that the settlers targeted civilian homes in the villages of Asfi Al-Tahata, Maghayir Al-Abid, and Al-Tuba, and pelted them with stones.

Al-Jubour pointed out that the settlers engaged in wanton destruction, vandalizing water tanks and pillaging the contents of houses and caves. They also stole batteries and solar panels, causing severe damage to the property of the local residents.

In the aftermath of the attack, Israeli occupation forces closed the road leading to the village of Al-Mufaqara, which is part of the Masafer Yatta region. Furthermore, other roads connecting various villages and hamlets in the region were blocked by the Israeli occupation military, preventing the free movement of Palestinian residents.

These attacks by Israeli settlers are now becoming a near-daily occurrence, and they take place with the apparent protection of Israeli occupation forces.
