Minister of Civil Aviation Dr. Sameh El Hefny witnessed the launch of the 130th edition of the IATP that is concerned with aircraft technical service exchange, which is being hosted by EgyptAir Holding Company in Cairo until October 9 under the auspices of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The opening session of the conference was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and more than 600 participants from the organization’s member airlines, maintenance service companies, aircraft manufacturers and spare parts suppliers.
In his welcoming speech during the opening session, Dr. Sameh El Hefny stressed the importance of the conference, which is an international forum aimed at reducing costs and improving operational efficiency, praising the coordination efforts made by all ICAO member states to enhance cooperation, which has become an urgent necessity for all airlines, maintenance providers, manufacturers and regulatory bodies in light of the great competition in the industry to ensure the safety, e
fficiency and sustainability of the air transport industry at the regional and global levels.
In this regard, the Minister of Civil Aviation pointed out the great attention that the Egyptian state pays to the civil aviation sector in all fields, especially its supportive efforts towards developing infrastructure and improving operational efficiency in various activities, which effectively contributes to achieving national goals in accordance with international standards, as well as promoting innovation, communication and operating regular flights, which has continuously contributed to the development of the relationship between IATP and the Egyptian civil aviation sector to achieve the highest standards of aircraft operational performance.
