Chief-of-Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa Saturday 26/10/2024 inspected security measures on the southern strategic direction, as part of General Command’s keenness on following up on the security status at border crossings on all strategic directions of the country.
Khalifa checked on a number of security checkpoints along the southern border to ensure security system there and readiness of Armed Forces members.
He engaged in a conversation with a number of fighters and listened to their questions in light of the challenges facing the region.
The Chief of Staff hailed Southern Military Zone fighters’ understanding of their missions and their high combat preparedness and dealing optimally with all emergency situations.
He also hailed their role in confronting all infiltration and smuggling attempts across the southern strategic direction.
Khalifa attended a banquet with the fighters at one of the border points, calling on them to maintain determination and resolve to pr
otect the homeland’s borders.
