Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Saturday that reaching a ceasefire is the only way to end the crisis in Gaza and limit the increase in violence in the region.
According to a statement, Shoukry discussed with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani over the phone the “need” for international parties to support a ceasefire in Gaza to deliver aid to Palestinians in the besieged enclave and prevent Israeli attempts to displace the population in Gaza.
The talks between Shoukry and Tajani focused on aspects of the deteriorating humanitarian and security conditions in the Gaza Strip, according to the statement.
