Cairo: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Thursday that all banks operating in Egypt will suspend operations in celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, starting from Sunday, March 30, 2025, through Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Banking services are set to resume on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the CBE clarified that if the official moon sighting confirms that Monday, March 31, 2025, marks the first day of Shawwal 1446 AH, the holiday will be extended until Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with banks reopening on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
