Cairo Governor review Fustat’s pottery village development

Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi reviewed with Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal the progress realized so far in supplying pottery kilns to develop the pottery-manufacturing village in Cairo’s Fustat district.

This comes in light of a cooperation contract between Cairo governorate and El Maasara For Engineering Industries (military factory 45).

Morsi stressed the state’s keenness on swiftly finalizing the project that will have a positive economic and environmental impact.

The eco-friendly pottery kilns will operate with natural gas and are considered a safe alternative for traditional kilns.

Morsi underlined the military production companies’ keenness on implementing projects at high-efficiency in line with international standards and a set timetable.

For his part, Cairo Governor Abdel Aal said the pottery village development falls within the framework of the political leadership’s strategy for encouraging handicrafts, especially pottery craft which is one of the oldest crafts dating back to ancient Egyptians.
