The cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) discussed on Wednesday the future of global supply chains and their impacts on Egypt in light of the global economic situation.
This came in the fourth workshop organized by IDSC within the framework of preparing an integrated research project to formulate the necessary scenarios to deal with the global economic situation in 2023 and 2024.
During a plenary session to discuss crises related to global supply chains and their impacts on Egypt, head of the technical office at the cabinet’s IDSC Heba Abdel Moneim posted the attendees on the trends of economic growth during the current year.
She reviewed the forecasts of economic performance in major and emerging countries amid the global recession fears and the continuing influence of monetary stimulation.
She also discussed the effects of the global cost of living crisis as a result of high inflation rates and problems related to the international trade and the weak recovery rates from the COVID-19 crisis and subsequent crises.
