The cabinet media center has said the Suez Canal has not been negatively affected by the impacts of current global crises thanks to its distinguished geographic location and great capabilities.
This came in an infograph published by the cabinet media center on Friday to shed light on the canal as the most important waterway linking the east and west.
The report highlighted the record revenues of the canal that always provides new and developed services.
The canal’s returns hit $3.6 billion in the first half of 2022 compared with $3 billion in the same period of 2021, an increase of 20 percent.
The canal made the highest annual revenues of $7 billion in 2021-2022 compared with $5.8 billion one year earlier despite the Ukrainian crisis, the report added.
