The Cabinet media center said on Tuesday 7/6/2022 Egypt had launched a multidimensional national climate change strategy to be a roadmap in face of climate change effects.
In a report that included infographics that shed light on Egypt’s climate efforts, the cabinet media center noted the Egyptian vision is not limited to the technical sides but it addresses as well investment efforts in renewable energy sources and the harness of scientific research in this field as well as activating international partnerships.
The report pointed to Egypt’s local and international preparations for developing a unified front against climate change.
The Egyptian strategy on climate change works on achieving five main goals : achieving sustainable economic growth and low-emission development in various sectors, building resilience and adaption to climate change’s negative impacts, strengthening the infrastructure for financing climate activities, improving governance in the field of climate change, and promoting scientific research, technology transfer, and awareness.
