The cabinet denied rumors on sea water recession on Egyptian coasts.
In a statement on Saturday 27/7/2024, it denied the possibility of imminent destructive hurricanes.
It clarified that the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research dismissed the claims of tsunami-like effects from large Mediterranean earthquakes.
The lowering of water levels at those shores is a natural phenomenon linked to climate change and tidal movements, not indicative of imminent destructive hurricanes, it added.
The cabinet urged citizens to turn a deaf ear to such rumors and obtain information from official sources.
