RAMALLAH: The Cabinet discussed during its weekly session on Tuesday in Ramallah, the diplomatic efforts made by the Palestinian leadership, headed by President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, during dozens of meetings held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, in order to stop the war of genocide against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the aggression of the Israeli occupation and its colonists in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

These meetings also addressed practical steps to implement the latest UN resolution to end the Israeli occupation within 12 months, and efforts to gain full membership in the United Nations.

The Cabinet also approved the urgent response agreement to provide emergency needs for the water sector in Gaza, funded by the World Bank, which includes providing fuel to operate water wells and sewage pumping stations, in addition to providing more than 300 mobile water tanks and personal hygiene supplies to serve about 300,000 displaced peopl
e in the Strip.

In a related context, the Ministry of Social Development succeeded in bringing in 26 trucks of food aid into the northern Gaza Strip over the past two days.
