LONDON: British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, saying the situation was “intolerable”.

Speaking to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, Starmer stressed the urgent need for humanitarian aid to enter the Strip, adding that “the situation in Gaza is intolerable, and the world will not look away as innocent civilians, including women and children, face death, disease and displacement”.

Starmer reiterated his country’s policy of pursuing a ceasefire as the only viable solution to the crisis.
