A Brazilian trade delegation expressed on Sunday 16/7/2023 interest in investing in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, lauding the big available chances for cooperation with the economic zone.
During his meeting with a delegation representing Brazil’s FGV EUROPE and CITTA foundations operating in the agricultural development and environment domains, deputy chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Walid Youssef gave a detailed presentation on the investment climate as well as the potentials of the economic zone given its geographical location, proximity to foreign markets, and the international trade agreements it signed to facilitate the entry of goods and products to various markets.
He referred to the services provided by the authority to investors, especially the one-stop service to facilitate procedures and obtain licenses in all sectors, pointing to the industries targeted by the region, including the food industries.
The delegation of the CITTA Foundation, a non-profit organization specialized in the field of agricultural development and support for environmental protection efforts, referred to the possibility of enhancing coordination with the economic zone in terms of targeting economic sectors, especially with regard to the fields of agriculture and the environment.
After the meeting, the Brazilian delegation made an inspection tour of Sokhna industrial area of the economic zone to get acquainted with a number of industrial projects established in it.
