Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib, on Monday participated alongside the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamie, Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar, and Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, in a field tour of the Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, to which ambassadors accredited to Lebanon were invited, with the aim of denying what was reported in the British newspaper ‘The Telegraph’ regarding the presence of weapons at the airport premises.
Caretaker Minister Bou Habib stated that “the airport is safe and that these rumors fall within Israel’s attempts to justify its attacks on Lebanon.”
On the other hand, Minister Bou Habib received in his office Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, with whom he discussed the current developments in Gaza and south Lebanon.
