Amman: From June 10 to 12, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will start his tour of Jordan, Egypt, Israel, and Qatar.
In a statement, the State Department stated that Secretary Blinken will meet with partners on the necessity of a ceasefire that ensures the release of all hostages and emphasizes how crucial it is that Hamas approves the current proposal, which is nearly the same as the one that Hamas backed last month.
Secretary Blinken talks about the benefits of the proposed ceasefire for both Israelis and Palestinians, emphasizing that it will lessen Gazans’ suffering, enable a significant increase in humanitarian relief, and let Palestinians return to their neighborhoods.
In addition to facilitating closer integration between Israel and its Arab neighbors, the agreement will boost Israel’s long-term security, promote stability throughout the region, and allow Lebanese and Israeli families to return to their homes.
Blinken, in Jordan, will attend a summit co-hosted by Jordan, Egypt, and the UN on em
ergency humanitarian response to the Gaza situation.
