House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday met with Army Intelligence Director Brigadier General Tony Kahwaji at the second presidential residence in Ain el-Tineh. The pair discussed general and security matters.
Berri also received Dutch Ambassador Hans Peter van der Woude who paid him a farewell visit marking the end of his tenure in Lebanon. The pair reviewed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, along with bilateral relations between Lebanon and the Netherlands.
Additionally, Berri welcomed Blerta Aliko, the new UNDP Resident Representative, who paid him a protocol visit upon officially assuming her diplomatic duties in Lebanon.
