House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday reiterated during a meeting by Amal Movement’s expatriates’ sector ‘keenness on having any economic and financial recovery plan preserve the rights of depositors in full – most specifically the deposits of Lebanese expatriates.’ “Since the beginning of the current financial and economic crisis, Amal Movement has cleaved to the same position; people’s deposits and their funds in banks are among the most sacred things, and we will not accept that they be compromised,’ Berri said. On the other hand, Berri welcomed in Ain al-Tineh Caretaker Minister of Industry, George Boujikian, with whom he discussed the country’s general conditions, the latest political developments, and array of affairs involving the industrial sector.
