BAU President, Indonesian Envoy Explore Academic, Cultural Cooperation

President of Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), Ahmed Ajlouni, met with Indonesian Ambassador, Ade Padmo Sarwono, on Monday to discuss enhancing academic and cultural cooperation between the university and educational institutions in Indonesia.

Ajlouni emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and highlighted the university’s readiness to welcome Indonesian students across various scientific and humanities disciplines. He also expressed pride in the success of the BAU’s Arabic program for non-native speakers, which recently saw the graduation of several Indonesian female students.

Sarwono expressed the embassy’s eagerness to boost academic collaboration and increase the number of Indonesian students at the BAU. He praised the university’s high-quality education, its strong reputation in Indonesia, and its significant role in fostering bilateral relations.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue their dialogue and exchange academic and cultural experiences. This col
laboration aims to further strengthen the educational, training, and scientific research ties between Jordan and Indonesia.
