Bank of Palestine supports the Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities Charitable Society


Bank of Palestine provided support to the Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities Charitable Society in Beit Ur al-Tahta, west of Ramallah, by equipping the physical and occupational therapy hall with medical devices, tools and supplies, to contribute to enhancing the society’s ability to provide its rehabilitation and treatment services to children with disabilities.

Mahmoud Shawa, General Manager of Bank of Palestine, expressed his happiness with this donation to the Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities Charitable Society, stressing that providing care for the society’s children is our collective responsibility, calling on other institutions from the private sector and civil society to extend a helping hand to them and meet their needs.

Shawa said that Bank of Palestine attaches special importance to supporting and enhancing the capabilities of people with disabilities, as part of the sustainability strategy it adopts towards various segments of society, stressing its constant keenn
ess to enhance joint cooperation between the private sector and local institutions, especially institutions that care for people with disabilities.

Shawa added that Bank of Palestine allocates part of its annual profits to support various sectors, including institutions that care for people with disabilities, in implementation of its vision of supporting society through effective contribution to achieving sustainable community development.

Al-Shawa praised the efforts made by the Early Intervention Charitable Society for Children with Disabilities and the therapeutic and rehabilitation services it provides to the children of the society by providing them with a suitable environment, in addition to the distinguished and diverse programs it provides them with a focus on health and psychological care.

In turn, the Chairman, members of the Board of Directors and employees appreciated this generous gesture from Bank of Palestine and the continuous efforts it makes to serve all segments of society and meet their
needs, including financing the needs of institutions concerned with people with disabilities, stressing that the support provided by Bank of Palestine to the society will be positively reflected in the rehabilitation and treatment services it provides to children with disabilities.

It is worth noting that the Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities Charitable Society is the only society that provides rehabilitation services to a population of 85 thousand people in the villages located west of the city of Ramallah, and serves about 120 children for free or almost free of charge annually
