Giza: The Cabinet has approved a draft resolution granting the Balkan Food Industries Company a golden license for establishing and operating a factory for producing concentrates, tomato paste, and all types of vegetables and fruits. The project, with an investment cost exceeding EGP 850 million, aims to localize the industry and enhance the local component in its products, utilizing 100% locally sourced raw materials and production supplies.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the factory will be located on a 76,517.30 m² area at Plot No. 507 in the first industrial zone of New October City, Giza Governorate. The company is committed to commencing operations by March 1, 2026. Additionally, the project focuses on transferring and localizing advanced technology to Egypt.
The company has imported machines and equipment for the project from leading global companies in the field of food industry machinery production. It also relies on Egyptian personnel to manage and operate these machines, contributi
