TUNIS: Bahrain has retained its membership in the Emergency Committee of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) for the new session 2024-2025, following the union’s General Assembly renewal of confidence in the Executive Council of the Committee.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the committee’s elections were held as part of the ASBU’s 43rd General Assembly and the 110th Executive Council.
Abdulla Khalid Al Dosari, Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs at the Information Ministry, affirmed that renewing Bahrain’s membership in the Executive Council of the ASBU reflects the kingdom’s expertise, advanced capabilities, and professionalism.
Al Dosari pointed out that the response from the participating members regarding supporting this year’s summit held in Bahrain represents a phase in developing a joint Arab framework and reflects the kingdom’s commitment to enhancing Arab cooperation at various levels.
