Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has visited Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and Fujairah Petroleum Port in the UAE.
The visit aims to open new avenues for cooperation in infrastructure to receive, store, and trade oil, as well as to explore available opportunities and potentials for mutual investments in Egypt.
The tour included the emergency response center to examine the latest technologies used in occupational health and safety. It also covered the port control center, operations area, loading and unloading platforms, and the ship fueling center, where operational processes and technological advancements in the management and operation of petroleum ports were monitored.
During the visit, Badawi held a meeting at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone headquarters to discuss joint cooperation opportunities. The meeting was attended by Engineer Mahmoud Nagi, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for the Transportation and Marketing of Petroleum Products, Engineer Walid Lutf
i, Chairman of Petrojet, and Minister Plenipotentiary Ashraf Hamdi, Commercial Attaché at the Egyptian Consulate. From the Emirati side, the meeting was attended by Advisor Ahmed Adel, Advisor to the Government of Fujairah, Mr. Hossam Al-Amri, representative of Borouge for Oil Investments, and Engineer Hani Abdel-Moneim, CEO of Fujairah Oil and Gas Company.
