The Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites denied the validity of a video that went viral on media outlets and social media platforms on complaints of Jordanian pilgrims about the services. The Ministry’s spokesperson, Ali Al Daqamsah, said Friday evening that the video dates back to years ago, not this year. He called on media outlets and news websites to investigate accuracy and credibility before dealing with any information, video or photo. He expressed the ministry’s regret that some media outlets published old videos with the aim of questioning the Hajj season and attacking the Awqaf Ministry, which is the responsible entity for managing and following up on Jordanian pilgrims affairs.
