Abu Dhabi: In the context of his participation in the Fourth Global Symposium on Supporting Implementation (GISS 2025), organised by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and currently hosted in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sameh Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, met with Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, both sides reviewed ways to enhance mutual cooperation between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of civil aviation, exchanged experiences in safety and air navigation, and discussed the latest developments and trends concerning the aviation sector at both regional and international levels.
Dr. Sameh Hefny emphasised the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation’s commitment to strengthening cooperation frameworks with the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, co
ntributing to the sustainable development of the aviation sector in both brotherly countries, praising the deep historical relations that link Egypt and Saudi Arabia across various fields.
For his part, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej praised Egypt’s pioneering role in civil aviation, stressing the importance of continued joint coordination and the exchange of visions and experiences between the two sides, in line with the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) aspirations towards achieving the highest standards of safety and efficiency in the aviation sector.
The forum also serves as a global platform that brings together civil aviation leaders and decision-makers from various countries worldwide to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of international aviation standards and to strengthen cooperation among ICAO member states.
