Authorities Resolve Karak Homicide, Investigate Fatal Fall in Northern Jordan Valley

Security forces have resolved a two-month-old case involving the death of a man found in Karak’s Fuqu’ district, apprehending the suspect and recovering the firearm involved.

The victim was discovered in a local farm, where evidence suggested he had been shot.

A Public Security Department spokesperson confirmed that an investigative team from the Criminal Investigation Department and Karak police worked diligently for two months, gathering evidence and narrowing down suspects.

The accused was arrested and, during questioning, admitted to the shooting following a previous dispute. The firearm used in the incident was recovered and matched to the crime.

The case has now been referred to the public prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court, with the suspect remanded in custody for 15 days.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a woman in her sixties tragically died after falling from a third-floor apartment in the Abu Sidou area of Northern Jordan Valley earlier Tuesday.

Dr. Moayad Al-Shakour, Director of Abu U
baida Government Hospital, confirmed that the woman was rushed to the hospital’s emergency room but was pronounced dead due to severe injuries. The body has been sent to the Northern Region Forensic Medicine Center for further examination.
