Armed colonists attack Palestinians villagers in southern Hebron

Armed Israeli colonists today attacked Palestinian villagers of Khirbet Zanuta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that armed colonists assaulted several villagers while the latter were at a water well, beating them up and preventing them from using the well.

The villagers attempted to fend off the colonists’ attack, but a number of them ended up sustaining bruises and cuts.

Meanwhile, a large number of colonists stormed the site of Ma’in Well (Bir Ma’in) in Masafer Yatta, prevented Palestinians from approaching it, set up a tent at the site and performed rituals.

In mid-August, colonists stormed and carried out restoration work for the well, located on the eastern slopes of Tal Ma’in archaeological site and close to Shi’b al Butum, one of the hamlets making up Masafer Yatta.

Colonists’ frequent intrusions to the site are intended to seize it.
