Arab Specialized committee chooses Jordan’s design for unified Arab postage stamp for Gaza


Amman: The Jordanian design was selected by the technical council that oversees stamps from several nations, and it was given approval to produce a unified Arab stamp for Gaza in 2024.

The Jordan Post Company released a statement on Thursday stating that Hanadi Al-Tayeb, the acting director general of the company, attended the 45th meeting of the Permanent Arab Postal Committee and the meetings of its specialized postal work teams. Both events took place at the General Secretariat of the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

During the participation, Al-Tayeb had a discussion on the sidelines with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Postal Authority about the following topics: digital transformation, e-commerce and money transfers, postal and financial sectors, and the last stages of launching the “Wasselha” and Visa Direct services.

Al-Tayeb also met with Hoda Baraka, the Post Connect chairperson of the board of directors, and they talked about working together on digital register
