Arab press officials course in China wraps up

A course for press officials and journalists from Arab countries organized by the Advanced International Education and Training Center of the China International Telecom Group wrapped up earlier on Tuesday.

The Jordan News Agency’s (Petra) staff took part in the two-week annual course, alongside journalists representing Iraq, Palestine and Morocco.

The course included lectures related to Chinese-Arab cooperation within the framework of a security initiative and an overview of the national conditions in China, in addition to visits to Chinese commercial and tourism sites, and a visit to Yunnan Province, which is famous for growing tea and coffee, during which the Chinese experience in the field of agriculture and how to market it globally was highlighted.

During a speech delivered on behalf of the Jordanian press delegation, journalist Mashhoor Shakhanbeh thanked China for hosting them, stressing the importance of the course in acquiring new information and enhancing the participants’ knowledge about China, its culture, economy and media.
