United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan said Saturday his country and Jordan shared a common vision towards future economic and investment integration. The remarks of the ambassador, who is honorary president of the Jordanian-Emirati Businessmen Council, came during a ceremony in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Jordan’s independence and the marriage of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Senate said in a statement. During the ceremony, which was patronized by Senate President Faisal Fayez and attended by a number of Jordanian and Emirati investors in the UAE, the ambassador spoke of the deep UAE-Jordanian relations in various fields and the two countries’ keen interest in further cementing and building on them to serve common interests and enhance cooperation. During the ceremony, Fayez honored a number of Emirati and Jordanian businessmen and investors, as well as a number of officials and diplomats in the UAE, “who constituted a key turning point in the course of relations between the two brotherly countries”. In a press statements, Fayez commended the high level of Jordanian-Emarati relations and thanked the UAE for the care and attention it offers to Jordanians residing in the Arab Gulf country.
