Egyptian Ambassador to Nairobi Wael Nasr El-Din Attia expressed Cairo’s welcome to strengthen cooperation with Kenya, particularly in the fields of agriculture, water resources, irrigation, infrastructure, youth, sports, training, and capacity building.

During his meeting with Kenya’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and addressed several issues of mutual interest.

For his part, Mudavadi emphasized his country’s pride in deeply-rooted relations with Egypt and its desire to further develop bilateral ties, building on the outcomes of the seventh session of the Joint Committee held in March 2024.

The two sides also mulled regional issues, particularly the latest developments in the Horn of Africa, the Middle East, and the security of the Red Sea.

They also coordinated on key issues related to the African Union.
