MARRAKECH: Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, Minister of State, led the UAE delegation participating in the sixth session of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum at the Ministerial level, held on Wednesday in the city of Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco.
Forum participants explored ways of enhancing cooperation between Arab countries and the Russian Federation across various fields. They commended the exceptional levels of Arab-Russian relations, while reiterating the importance of continued coordination which aims to advance bilateral ties as well as promote growth and prosperity.
In a statement, Almarar stated that the meeting is held to mutually reinforce and develop relations between Arab countries and the Russian Federation, and to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The minister of state affirmed that significant achievements have been made in different sectors as a result of Arab-Russian coordination and cooperation, highlighting the possible opportunities to enhance and develop partnership ties.

luded with a joint statement including a section dedicated to the three occupied Emirati islands, citing the joint statement between countries of the GCC and Russia that was published in July 2023. The statement supported peaceful solutions and initiatives aiming to resolve the conflict through bilateral negotiations or the International Court of Justice, according to international law and the UN Charter.
The joint statement praised the outcomes of the Conference of the Parties to UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), and the UAE’s endeavours in delivering the historic ‘UAE Consensus’ that was unanimously endorsed by the conference participants.
