Al-Sisi opens the “Cairo Peace Summit 2023” with broad international participation to stop the escalation in Gaza and achieve peace

Cairo, The activities of the “Cairo Peace 2023” summit were launched today, Saturday, and were called for by Egypt, to discuss developments in the Palestinian issue and reach a consensus in line with international and humanitarian principles to reduce the escalation and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and emphasize the importance of aid access. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened the summit in the New Administrative Capital, in which a large number of kings, presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers, and heads of a number of Arab, regional and international organizations participated.

The summit will discuss international efforts to stop escalation and shooting in order to discuss the future of the Palestinian issue, open horizons for resolving the conflict on the basis of the two-state solution, and achieve peace and stability in the region in a way that achieves the ambitions of the peoples of the region. The Egyptian President said in his speech during the summit: The peoples of the entire world, and not just the peoples of the region, are awaiting with widened eyes our positions at this delicate historical moment, in connection with the current military escalation, since the seventh of this October, in Israel and the Palestinian Territory.
