During his visit to the Chinese capital, Beijing, to review the latest management, operation and marketing systems for central business districts, Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, reviewed the financial and executive position of the central business district, which is being implemented in the New Administrative Capital. He was accompanied by Ambassador of Egypt to the People’s Republic of China, Ambassador Assem Hanafi, Engineer Abdel Muttalib Mamdouh, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and City Development Sector, Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector, and Accountant Wael Shaaban, Assistant Vice President of the Authority for Financial and Administrative Affairs.
During his meeting with officials of the Insurance Corporation ‘Sinosure’ and officials of the Commercial and Industrial Bank of China, Dr. Assem El-Gazzar explained the project implementation position, as he
confirmed that the initial delivery of 3 towers, in the Central Business District, had been completed a few days ago, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister.
The Minister indicated that another project is being implemented in cooperation between the New Urban Communities Authority and the Chinese company “CSCEC”, in the Downtown area of New Alamein City, with full funding from the Authority.
Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, also reviewed a number of major projects implemented by the New Urban Communities Authority, including 24 new cities, which have been implemented since 2014, in addition to hundreds of thousands of housing units spread across various new cities, and many service projects.
For his part, Ambassador Assem Hanafi stressed the strength of the strong relations between Egypt and China, and that the central business district project in the New Administrative Capital is receiving great support and interest from President Abdel Fattah El-
Sisi, President of the Republic, and the Chinese President, Xi Jinping.
For their part, officials of the Insurance Corporation ‘Sinosure’ and officials of the Commercial and Industrial Bank of China expressed their interest in cooperating with Egypt in various fields, and their support for this important project in the New Administrative Capital, stressing their interest in quickly completing implementation, receiving the rest of the towers, as well as starting marketing and operation.
