Al-Eqtisad organizes a tour of the central market in Bethlehem to inspect the extent of merchants’ commitment to advertising prices

Bethlehem – Together – The Ministry of National Economy in Bethlehem, in coordination with national and institutional partners, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Customs Police, the Chamber of Commerce, the Civil Defense, the Directorate of Police and National Security, and the Economic Security of the Preventive Security Service and General Intelligence, organized a central tour of the Central Market area. In Bethlehem to inspect the extent of merchants’ commitment to advertising prices on consumer goods, inspecting meat, and the availability of sacrificial animals to the Palestinian consumer in the governorate, in terms of their quality, quality, and price, and the demand of citizens to buy on these blessed days.

This came based on the instructions of the Minister of National Economy, Muhammad Al-Amour, and in the presence of the Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, Muhammad Taha Abu Alia.

As the Acting Director General of the National Economy Directorate, Muhammad Hamida, confirmed that there is availability of basic and agricultural commodities in the markets and the commitment of merchants to the traded prices. It was found during the tour that there is a noticeable stagnation in the market as a result of the difficult economic and security situation facing the Palestinian people and the war of genocide against our people in Gaza and the interruption of workers.
