Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul Gheit vehemently decried a terrorist attack on a water-lifting station that claimed the lives of an officer and ten security personnel and left five others injured in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on Saturday.

According to an AL official source, Abul Gheit expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the dead and wished quick recovery for the injured.

The AL chief expressed the pan-Arab body’s support and solidarity with Egypt in the face of terrorism, calling for stronger collective international efforts to counter it in all its forms and manifestations.
