The Ajloun cable car project received more than 60,000 visitors one month after its operation, according to Development Zones Director General, Arwa Hiyari. The cable car, also known as the Ajloun Teleferique, is witnessing an increasing number of tourists and visitors, both locally and from abroad, throughout the week, she told Petra in an interview, calling it “a unique product and important landmark on the Kingdom’s tourism map”. “The site has become an attraction for those looking to enjoy a trip to the picturesque nature of the governorate”, Hiyari said, adding that the Development Zones Department continues to improve services to promote the tourism sector in Ajloun, northwest of Amman. Ajloun Tourism Director Mohammad Al-Deek said that the cable car is a key national project that contributes to promoting tourism to various landmarks and attractions in the governorate, expressing hope that the number of tourists will increase and positively impact the local economy.
