Hot air balloon flights have resumed in Luxor after a four-day hiatus due to bad weather.

As many as 19 hot air balloon flights took off on Sunday, carrying about 480 tourists of different nationalities, Ahmed Abdoun, head of a Luxor-based hot air ballooning company, said.

He noted that the prior approval of the civil aviation authority’s air operations safety inspectors were obtained before takeoff.
