DUBAI: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, will inaugurate the 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) tomorrow.
Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the event will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 1st to 3rd October 2024 under the theme ‘At the forefront of sustainability’.
About 2,800 companies from 65 countries are highlighting their latest innovation and projects in the fields of energy, water, green development, sustainability, decarbonisation, green mobility, green hydrogen, cybersecurity, digitisation, sustainable cities, green buildings and other related sectors. WETEX 2024 hosts 21 international pavilions from around the world.
Additionally, the 26th edition of WETEX will host the Green Mobility Hall, the Future Energy Landscape Forum and the Health an
d Safety Hub. On the sidelines of WETEX, DEWA is organising a large number of seminars and discussion panels, with the participation of global experts and specialists, on the most prominent topics that shape a more sustainable future.
WETEX will also host many meetings between companies, governments, private institutions and investors through the Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) platforms.
WETEX will be held in conjunction with the 10th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) which takes place from 2nd to 3rd October 2024 at DWTC. The summit is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO).
WGES 2024 will centre on several key thematic pillars, including Decarbonisation and Net-Zero Goals, Clean Energy Advancements, Climate Finance, the Circular Economy, Policy and Regulatory Frameworks, Using Technology to T
ackle Climate Change, Youth in Climate Change, and Food and Water.
