Agriculture Minister Highlights Egypt’s Commitment to Strengthening African Relations


Cairo: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk asserted that the political leadership is keen on promoting relations with African countries in different domains upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. This declaration was made during Farouk’s speech at the annual ceremony of the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA).



According to State Information Service Egypt, the event was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, EABA Chairman Yusri el Sharkawy, and a number of ambassadors and development partners from international and regional institutions. Representatives from 40 African countries, as well as businessmen and investors, were also present.



Farouk emphasized Egypt’s potential to play a pioneering role in enhancing agricultural cooperation with Africa, which is essential for achieving sustainable development across the continent. He called on Egyptian and African businessmen to explore the promising investment opportunities within the agricultural sector and to establish strategic partnerships that will contribute to sustainable development in Africa.



Furthermore, Farouk praised the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association for its significant contribution as a pioneering national platform in fostering Egyptian-African relations.
