Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister El Sayyed Al Quseir has announced the launch of the Food and Agriculture Sustainability Transition (FAST) initiative.

The initiative was launched on Saturday as part of the activities of “Agriculture and Adaptation Day” held on the sidelines of the United Nations climate conference (COP27), currently hosted by Egypt.

The minister reiterated that the initiative is an opportunity for development partners to have the required finance to help counter the negative effects of the climate change.

The launch ceremony was also attended by the ministers of environment and water resources and irrigation, in addition to a host of ambassadors and representatives of national, international and regional organizations, among others.
