Jerusalem – Ma’an – Today, Wednesday, the Public Prosecution filed an indictment against Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri – the head of the Supreme Islamic Council and the imam and preacher of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to the indictment filed against Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, 85 years old, it included ‘encouraging Sheikh Sabri to commit terrorism and incitement,’ by praising the martyrs and visiting their families.

The list talked about Sheikh Sabri’s visit to the house of the martyr Raed Raad in the Jenin camp and the house of the martyr Uday Al-Tamimi in Jerusalem, and they described this as ‘encouraging terrorism’ as he is an influential figure, through the sheikh’s conversation with the people.

Over the course of recent years, the occupation authorities have been pursuing Sheikh Sabri, with arrests, summonses, travel bans, decisions preventing entry to the West Bank, storming the house, and even threatening the building where the sheikh’s apartment is located, in addition to continuous public incitement by
