ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC), following a successful debut, prepares for its second edition in collaboration with AJP and organised by International Vision Sports Management. Scheduled for January 19, 2024, at the Mubadala Arena, the event aims to further elevate Abu Dhabi’s status as a jiu-jitsu hub.
ADXC 2 builds on its predecessor’s success by announcing a thrilling main event featuring Aljamain Sterling and Chase Hooper at the Mubadala Arena. The event promises a jiu-jitsu main event, two co-main events, and ten additional duels, ensuring an action-packed night. Abu Dhabi’s selection as the host reaffirms its commitment to grappling, with the main jiu-jitsu event aimed at inspiring athletes, promoting growth, and showcasing technical advancements in the UAE and the broader region.
In the upcoming grappling event, former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, known for his submission expertise, will face UFC sensation Chase Hooper.
Sterling, with 23 victories and a knack fo
r chokeholds and the Soloev Stretching move, brings formidable skills. Hooper, with 13 wins and a strong submission record, anticipates a remarkable performance. The five-round main event promises a showcase of exceptional skill and fighting spirit within three-minute rounds.
