ADQCC’s Central Testing Laboratory conducts over 200,000 tests in H1 2024


ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council’S (ADQCC) Central Testing Laboratory (CTL) conducted over 200,000 tests in the first half of 2024 and expected to conduct more than 400,000 tests by the end of the year.

Abdulla Al Muaini, Executive Director of CTL at ADQCC, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) following the launch – in partnership with M42 – of the UAE’s first and only fully equipped honey testing laboratory at the CTL today that 2023 saw the completion of 350,000 tests for different samples.

The CTL is planning to increase its testing capacity by 35 percent by the end of 2024, he said.

According to statistics seen by WAM, the CTL conducted more than 18,000 laboratory tests for honey and its products for 2,138 samples from 2022 to the first half of 2024, distributed as follows: 5,030 tests during 2022 for 726 samples, while about 7,465 tests were performed for 837 samples in 2023, and 5,532 tests were performed for 575 samples since the beginning of this year.
