ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) invited engineers in the construction sector to register on the new engineering licensing system through TAMM platform, thereby enabling them to access a variety of government and private sector services.
The announcement came during a sequence of educational workshops organised by the Municipality’s Urban Planning Sector, embodied by the Classification and Professional Licensing Administration.
These workshops, conducted in the fourth quarter of 2023, aimed to introduce the engineering licensing system and provide details on the application process for licensing services through TAMM platform. Hundreds of engineers employed in Abu Dhabi, alongside key personnel from construction companies and engineering consultancy firms, took part in the workshops. These sessions were conducted over the past three months: October, November, and December of 2023.
The workshops covered the application process for engineer licensing services through TAMM platform, introduced the
application requirements, and outlined the specific procedures and criteria for classifying consultants. Additionally, a QA session was held to engage with the attendees.
The workshop series highlighted the importance of displaying license cards on the engineering plans that engineers are involved with. Construction companies and engineering consultancy offices are required to submit a digital copy of their engineers’ license cards for all construction-related procedures. This initiative is designed to foster transparency and support the construction sector’s advancement towards best practices in the field.
